Project Overview
This 45-square-meter beauty salon renovation in SW1W 9QN was completed over a focused 9-working-day schedule by a skilled two-person team. The client’s brief emphasized creating a clean, welcoming, and functional space that would reflect the salon’s brand identity while enhancing comfort for both staff and clientele.
The scope included flooring, painting and decorating, carpet fitting, electrical upgrades, tiling, and custom shelving installation. The result was a polished, professional environment tailored for high-traffic commercial use, with attention to detail and durability at the forefront of every decision.
Flooring & Carpet Fitting
The renovation began with the removal of outdated flooring and the installation of commercial-grade luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) in the reception and treatment areas. Chosen for their durability, slip resistance, and ease of maintenance, the LVT featured a soft oak finish that added warmth and elegance.
In the lounge and consultation zones, premium carpet tiles were fitted to enhance acoustic comfort and provide a softer, more relaxed atmosphere. Subfloor preparation included leveling and acoustic underlay installation to ensure a smooth, sound-dampening foundation.
Painting and Decorating
Walls and ceilings were refreshed with a calming palette of soft neutrals and blush tones, designed to promote relaxation and complement the salon’s branding. High-quality, low-VOC emulsion paints were used throughout to maintain indoor air quality and ensure long-lasting results.
Detailed preparation included sanding, filling, and priming all surfaces. Skirting boards and trims were painted in satin white to create crisp edges and visual contrast. Each unit was crafted from moisture-resistant MDF with a matte white finish, mounted using concealed brackets for a sleek, minimalist appearance. Placement was carefully planned to align with lighting and wall features, ensuring symmetry and ease of use.
