Project Overview
This 85-square-meter beauty salon renovation project in Stockport was executed over a focused 8-working-day period by a skilled two-person team. The goal was to revitalize the interior atmosphere, upgrade electrical infrastructure, and enhance both aesthetic and functional elements to create a contemporary, welcoming space for clients.
Given the commercial nature of the salon, the design and execution emphasized sophistication, durability, and comfort. A tight schedule and a small but capable team demanded precision planning, efficient task execution, and ongoing quality assurance throughout the short renovation window.
Painting and Decorating
The interior was refreshed with a clean, modern color palette designed to promote relaxation and visual cohesion. Soft blush tones, muted greys, and crisp whites were used across treatment areas, reception, and lounge spaces, reflecting brand identity while brightening the atmosphere.
Preparation involved sanding and repairing surface imperfections, applying primer coats, and finishing with durable, washable emulsion paints suited for high-traffic commercial environments. Decorative moldings and ceiling details were emphasized to add elegance and dimensional interest.
Electrical Works
Upgraded electrical systems supported new lighting, beauty equipment, and enhanced ambiance. LED spotlights were installed across the ceiling, with directional fixtures above key workstations for focused illumination. Carpentry
Custom carpentry enhancements supported space optimization and branding continuity. Bespoke cabinetry was installed behind the reception area for organized storage and client documentation, featuring a sleek matte finish with gold-tone handles to match the salon’s color theme.
Floating shelves were added to treatment rooms for product displays and towel organization. Door frames and skirting boards were updated to match flooring tones, providing consistent material finishes throughout.
Wallpapering
Strategic wallpapering added textural richness and ambiance. A feature wall behind the main mirror station was finished in a botanical metallic design, introducing a luxury feel and softening the overall aesthetic. In the lounge area, neutral textured wallpaper was selected to add depth without overwhelming the design.
All wallpapers were professionally lined and sealed at the edges for durability under commercial conditions. Installation followed precise alignment and trimming, ensuring flawless pattern continuation and visual symmetry.
